Privacy policy
Driver's Den is built for trust. We only collect what we need to deliver the experience you expect, and you remain in control of your data.
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Information we collect
The information depends on whether you use the website, continue as a guest, or create a Driver's Den account.
- Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number, country, city, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
- Garage information: vehicle details, VIN, mileage, fuel and transmission details, service history, costs, notes, maintenance reminders, and notification identifiers.
- Media you choose to upload, including vehicle and service-record photos.
- Subscription information: product, entitlement, transaction, renewal, expiration, refund, and restore status. Apple processes payment credentials; Driver's Den does not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical and security information processed by our authentication and hosting providers, such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device or session identifiers, operating system, and request logs.
- Website information: waitlist email address, email-verification status, and messages you send to support.
Guest mode and local data
Guest garage data is stored locally in an SQLite database on your device.
- Guest cars, service records, reminders, and selected local photos are not uploaded merely because you enter guest mode.
- If you create or sign in to an account and choose to preserve the guest garage, that local data is transferred to the account-backed services described below.
- You can remove guest data in the app. Deleting the app also removes its local guest database, subject to normal device backup behavior.
How we use information
- Create and secure your account, verify your email, and keep you signed in.
- Store and synchronize your garage across devices.
- Schedule and reconcile maintenance reminders and local notifications.
- Upload and display the photos you attach to cars and service records.
- Validate purchases, provide premium entitlements, restore access, prevent fraud, and understand aggregate subscription performance.
- Operate the website waitlist, send requested transactional email, provide support, diagnose failures, and protect the service.
Service providers
We share information only as needed to operate Driver's Den, comply with law, or protect the service.
- Clerk provides mobile authentication, email verification, session management, and account administration.
- Convex provides the mobile app database, server functions, authorization checks, and subscription webhook processing.
- Cloudflare R2 stores account-backed vehicle and service-record media.
- RevenueCat validates subscription transactions and manages product offerings, entitlements, purchase history, and restore status. Apple operates App Store billing.
- Firebase supports the website waitlist and abuse protection; it is not the mobile app's garage or authentication backend.
- Resend delivers website waitlist and verification email.
- We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
Retention and account deletion
- We retain account-backed data while your account is active and as needed to operate, secure, and comply with legal obligations.
- In the iOS app, open Settings and choose Delete Account to permanently delete the Driver's Den account and its Convex garage records, uploaded R2 media, Clerk identity, and associated RevenueCat customer profile.
- Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel billing separately in Apple Subscriptions.
- Service providers may retain limited security, transaction, legal, or backup records for the periods described in their terms, even after active account data is deleted.
- Website waitlist or support records can be removed by contacting us from the relevant email address.
Your choices
- Use guest mode without creating an account and keep the garage on your device.
- Choose whether to upload photos and whether to convert local guest data into an account.
- Manage notification permission in iOS Settings and cancel scheduled reminders inside the app.
- Restore purchases, manage Apple billing, or delete your Driver's Den account from the in-app Settings screen.
- Contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of information associated with your email address, subject to applicable law.
Security, international processing, and children
- We use access controls, encrypted network connections, scoped authorization, and managed service providers to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
- Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
- Driver's Den is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Policy changes
- We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date shown above.
